What is MSP Verify?
MSP Verify is a certification published by MSPAlliance — the International Association of Cloud and Managed Service Providers — specifically for organizations delivering managed services. The certification audits an MSP's full operational and security posture against the Unified Certification Standard (UCS) Practice Domains.
The five UCS Practice Domains:
- Expertise — technical proficiency, training, and capability.
- Trust — accountability, governance, and ethical practices.
- Security — cybersecurity posture and data protection.
- Resilience — business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response.
- Transparency — communication, reporting, and disclosure.
Why MSP Verify matters
- Built for managed services. MSP Verify isn't a generic framework adapted for MSPs. It's MSP-native, written in the language and operational context MSPs actually use.
- Faster path. MSPs starting from zero typically reach MSP Verify certification meaningfully faster than equivalent SOC 2 or ISO 27001 paths.
- Channel signal. Major technology vendors and M&A buyers screen MSPs by certifications. MSP Verify is recognized currency in those rooms.
